There among the long list of seasoned professionals was Mari Lou Morelli from Long Beach, CA, who had won her seat in a mega satellite the night before. Morelli, like many other notable women in the field was hoping to make poker history by being the first woman to take first place in a World Poker Tour $10,000 buy-in main event. After five days of play, Morelli found herself and her poker mentor Annie Duke as the last two women left in the field.
